Welcome to our online guide to cactus groups in the North-Central Region of New Mexico!

The primary purpose of this website is to educate the public about several groups of cacti. A second purpose is to equip those interested with the tools to identify these groups in North-Central New Mexico. This includes the cactus genera Coryphantha, Cylindropuntia, Echinocereus, Echinomastus, Mammillaria, Opuntia, Pediocactus, and Sclerocactus commonly found within the counties of Bernalillo, Colfax, Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, Sandoval, San Miguel, Santa Fe, and Taos.
